QCM used in Technology Development Programs with the DoD, DHS and FAA

Our client, SAIC, uses QCM in technology development programs with the DoD, DHS and FAA. In a December 2022 AGU Fall Meeting (Chicago, 12-16 December, 2022), a presentation abstract by SAIC states: “SAIC is currently employing the QCM/Artificial Intuition approach for several technology development programs for the DoD, DHS, FAA and other government agencies. The application can be integrated with other indicators, tools and applications at the Federal, Regional, State or local level.”

Ontonix is proud to be mentioned in a NASA Earth Sciences page indicating “SAIC Advanced Wildfire Planning Introduces Quantitative Complexity Management (QCM)/Artificial Intuition”.

SAIC has a legacy of experience with QCM/Artificial Intuition on several technology development programs with the DoD, DHS, FAA and other government agencies and is proud to collaborate with Ontonix (www.ontonix.com) on our approach to test the technique on wildfire risk. ” An extract of the above mentioned page is reported below:

Ontonix technology – Artificial Intuition – is also mentioned on SAIC’s climate enterprise page.

Ontonix is proud to contribute to Climate Change Science and Technology with its model-free QCM/AI: “This model-free approach requires less data and no training to produce useful results, when compared to conventional Artificial Intelligence. The Quantitative Complexity Approach also allows for integration into typical AI and ML functions to streamline and accelerate preprocessing to access the most impactful data.”

Established originally in 2005 in the USA, Ontonix is a technology company headquartered in Como, Italy. The unusual technology and solutions developed by Ontonix focus on countering what most threatens safety, advanced products, critical infrastructures, or IT network security - the rapid growth of complexity. In 2007 the company received recognition by being selected as Gartner's Cool Vendor. What makes Ontonix different from all those companies and research centers who claim to manage complexity is that we have a complexity metric. This means that we MEASURE complexity. We detect anomalies in complex defense systems without using Machine Learning for one very good reason: our clients don’t have the luxury of multiple examples of failures necessary to teach software to recognize them. We identify anomalies without having seen them before. Sometimes, you must get it right the first and only time!
